I can't change the file format nor any settings in the Android aplication, so the solution must be on PC side. I recorded some footage and did a mediainfo txt which i will post in a spoiler tag below. I know there has to be a way around this (with no previous file conversion, please) because i had similar problems importing Mirillis Action! files, but i solved it changing the config of default mp4/avi codecs to libavc in directshow filters or something like that, can't remember very well. I've searched a lot about it and i always end up in a page telling me to pay for some software to convert the file before importing it. Some formats have been tested and some have not been tested. The following tablets shows you what formats are supported by by different versions of Vegas Pro.

I have a screen recording application for android 5.0, it's called "Screen Stream Mirroring" and it is able to record locally or stream to mediaplayers/streaming sites.

and that's it! After activating the above option you'll be asked to close and restart Vegas Pro: once done, you'll be able to import MKV container files just like you do with their AVI and MP4 counterparts.Hi there. The new feature is disabled by default, but can be activated from the main menu by going to Options > Preferences > File I/O, just like shown in the screenshot below: as long as the video codec used is supported! Luckily enough, we can finally put away all of these workarounds, because Vegas Pro 17 added an experimental - yet mostly working - MKV reader feature that can be used to natively import MKV files directly into the timeline.
